"Getting excited about nutrition and aging"
Friday June 18th, 2010 in Naperville, Illinois at NIU campus.

Brenda Richardson MS, RD, LDN National Lecturer and Chair Elect for the National Dietetics in Healthcare Communities Dietetic Practice group, will be the keynote speaker for the Annual Illinois DHCC. Her topic will be “Getting excited about Nutrition and Aging”. She will start the seminar off with a positive message concerning the opportunities and the need for leadership for those working with nutrition care in long term care facilities.

Other speakers at the event will include:
- Kimberly Fremont MS, RD, LDN from Health Technologies speaking on the topic of “MDS 3.0”,
- Connie Jensen RD, LDN speaking about “What food service departments should expect from surveyors”,
- Jane Jarrett RD, LDN from Linda Roberts & Associates will offer a case study example of “Culture Change” in action,
- Dorothy Stewart RD, LDN from Nutrition Care Systems will update us on the latest research and biochemistry of “Wound healing” including necessary nutrients needed for healing,
- Jean Ramsey MS, RD, LDN from Your Learning Basket.com will help us learn to make “Stress the Spice of life “ that keeps life from being boring, not the overload that “spoils” the whole dish.

The event will be from 7:30 until 4:30 PM. Lunch and a continental breakfast are included in the registration. There will be various industry vendor exhibits at this event including a representative from Illinois DMA.

We will apply for 8 hours CPEUs for Dietitians and 7 hours for Dietary Managers for this event. It will be from 7:30 until 4:30 PM on Friday June 18, 2010.

The cost for this event is:
Members or Dietary Mangers cost is 55 dollars for early registration received before June 7, 2010 and 70 dollars after June 7, 2010.

Non members cost is 70 dollars early registration and 80 dollars after June 7, 2010.
